Set up your affiliate program

With the Affiliates module, people who recommend your business (real estate agents, home inspectors, happy customers) get their own link and earn a commission on every sale they bring. Everything runs inside PageShift: applications, links, commissions and payouts. There is no outside service and no fee.

You find it under Leads & Growth → Affiliates. Only Administrators can run the setup and change settings.

Start the setup

Go to Leads & Growth → Affiliates. Until you're done, the Overview shows Set up your affiliate program (1) with four steps. Click the first step, Set your commission, waiting period and payouts.

Step 1: What affiliates earn

1. Choose the Currency (1) you pay affiliates in. US dollars suit affiliates from anywhere; sales in other currencies are converted. It can't be changed after the first commission.
2. Choose the Commission type (2): A percentage of each sale or A fixed amount per sale.
3. Type the Commission (3), for example 10 (%). You can give a product or an affiliate their own rate later.
4. For Memberships and other renewing payments (4), choose whether affiliates earn on every payment for a number of months, on every payment as long as it renews, or on the first payment only.
5. Click Next (5).

Step 2: When they're paid

1. Remember a click for (days) (1): a visitor who buys within this time is credited to the affiliate, even if they come back later without the link.
2. Waiting period (days) (2): a new commission waits this long, so refunds can cancel it. Then it's approved. 30 days is common.
3. Minimum payout (3): affiliates are paid once their approved balance reaches this amount. Smaller balances roll over.
4. Payout dates (4): Monthly (the 1st), Twice a month (the 1st and 15th) or Whenever I choose.
5. Tick the Payout methods you'll offer (5): PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, Bank transfer, GCash, Maya or Other. You send the money yourself; PageShift keeps track.
6. Click Next.

Step 3: How people join

1. Choose How people join (1):
   • They apply on your program page, and you approve them (recommended);
   • They apply and are approved automatically;
   • Invite only: you add affiliates yourself.
2. Keep Publish the program page at /affiliates/ now (2) ticked. It explains your program and has the application form.
3. Click Finish (3).

The Overview says "Your affiliate program is ready. The program page is live at /affiliates/." and crosses out the first two steps.
