The directory, org chart, departments and locations

Everyone who can see the directory finds their colleagues in Team → People and Team → Org chart. Team members see the public parts only: name, photo, job title, department, location, manager, work email and phone.

The directory

Team → People shows everyone as cards, or as a list.

• Type in the search box to find names, jobs and emails.
• Choose a department, a location or a kind of work, and click Filter. Click Clear to see everyone again.
• Switch between Cards and List on the right.
• On a phone, the cards are one under the other. Tap Email or Call to contact someone.

The tabs Active, On leave and Former show people by status. Team members only see active colleagues.

The org chart

Team → Org chart draws your team from each person's Manager.

• Type in Find someone (1) to jump to a person.
• The number on a card is how many people are under them. Click a card's arrow area to show or hide them, or click Open all (2) and Close all.
• Use − and + to zoom out and in.
• Click Print (3) to print it, or save it as a PDF from the print window.

On a phone, scroll and pinch to move around.

Departments and locations

Go to Team → More → Departments and locations (Team managers and Administrators).

Departments are the parts of your business, for example Office, Field crews and Sales and estimating. Click Add to add one, or Rename and Delete next to one. A department with people in it can't be deleted: move them first.

Locations are where people work. Each one has:

• a Time zone;
• a Work week: the days people normally work there. Time off only counts work days, so if the yard works Saturdays, a Saturday off counts as a day;
• its own Holidays (click Holidays next to it). See Leave types, allowances and holidays.

Click Change to rename a location or change its work week, and Add for a new one. A location needs at least one work day. A location with people in it can't be deleted.
