Describe your business with the Entity Profile

Tell Google and AI tools who stands behind your website, so every page carries the same clear business details.

Search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT try to work out who is behind a website. The Entity Profile tells them directly. PageShift adds it as structured data to every page, so it's one of the strongest signals you can give.

Go to SEO → SEO. The screen opens on the Entity Profile tab. You need the permission SEO settings, redirects and sitemaps (Administrators have it; Editors don't).

Fill in the profile

  1. Check the Full name (1): your business name (or your own name if the site is about you). It's required.
  2. Fill in Also known as if people know you by another name.
  3. Use Job title only for a personal site.
  4. Write a Short bio (2): one or two sentences about who you are and where you work. Use the same wording as your Google Business Profile, LinkedIn or Facebook page.
  5. Add a Photo URL with Select image: your logo, or a headshot for a personal site.
  6. List your Profile links (3), one full address per line: Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Yelp, industry directories.
  7. Fill in Expertise topics (for example "Roof replacement, Hail damage"), Works for, Credentials and Country code (for example us) if they apply.
  8. Click Save Entity Profile. The message says "Entity profile saved. It now appears in the schema on every page."
SEO → Entity Profile

The Schema preview (4) on the right shows exactly what is added to your pages.

What else is added automatically

Besides the Entity Profile, PageShift builds structured data from each page:

Page Added automatically
Every page Your business (from the Entity Profile and your settings) and a breadcrumb trail.
Blog posts BlogPosting: the title, dates, author, category, image and FAQ.
Pages with your own extra data Whatever you paste in the page's Schema tab.

To see what one page outputs, open it, go to the Schema tab of its SEO box and click See all structured data. See Set a page's SEO title and description.

Test it

On the Structured data page, click Test in Google's Rich Results Test or Check with the Schema.org validator. They need a published page on a public address. You can also click Copy the code and paste it into the validator.
