The customer's purchases page

How customers sign in with an emailed link to see their orders, download their files and invoices again, without an account or password.

Customers don't need an account or a password. At /purchases/ on your website, they type the email they used when buying and get a sign-in link. The page then lists all their orders, with downloads and invoices.

How a customer uses it

  1. They open /purchases/ (for example from the link in their Payment received email).

  2. They type their email and tap Email me a sign-in link.

    Your purchases: sign in
  3. The page says "If there are purchases for that email, we have sent a sign-in link. Check your inbox (and spam folder)."

  4. In the email Your purchases, they tap See my purchases.

  5. The page shows "Signed in as …" and lists their orders with the date and status.

    The list of purchases

For each order they can:

  • tap View order to open the order page with its items and payment instructions;
  • tap Invoice (PDF) ↓ on paid orders;
  • use Download ↓ under Your downloads for files they bought, and see their license keys.

Safe by design

  • The page never tells whether an email has orders. Someone typing another person's email sees the same message, and no email is sent if there are no orders.
  • A sign-in link works for one hour. After that, the page says "This sign-in link has expired. Enter your email to get a new one."
  • Download links still follow your download limits (see Sell downloads).

To add your own text above or below the purchases list, edit Your purchases in Pages → System pages.
