Change a price everywhere at once

Most businesses show the same price in many places: on the pricing page, a service page, a blog post, maybe in the footer. With Settings → Prices, you set each price once. Change it there and every place that shows it is updated, including the information search engines read (structured data) and the payment after a form.

Only Administrators can change prices.

Where the prices come from

• When you import a website, PageShift finds the prices on it and marks every place they appear. They're listed here straight away.
• You can also add prices yourself, and put them into any text with a short code.

Go to System → Settings → Prices. Each price shows its Name, Currency sign, Price, how many pages it's Shown on, and its Code for your own text.

Change a price

1. Type the new amount in the Price box (1), for example change Repair visit from 650 to 700.
2. Click Save prices (4).

The message "Prices saved. Every page that shows them is updated." appears. Open one of the pages to check. Amounts are shown with a thousands separator, for example $12,500.

Add a price

1. Under Add a price, type a Name (2), for example Gutter cleaning.
2. Check the Currency sign ($ by default).
3. Type the Price (3), for example 149.
4. Click Save prices (4).

The new price gets its own code, based on its name, for example [price key="gutter-cleaning"].

Show a price in your own text

1. Copy the price's code from the Code for your own text column, for example [price key="repair"].
2. Open a page in the editor, or a blog post, and paste the code into any text: "A repair visit costs [price key="repair"]."
3. Save or update the page.

Visitors see the amount, for example "A repair visit costs $650." When you change the price later, this sentence changes too.

Remove a price

1. Tick Remove next to the price.
2. Click Save prices.
