The hours log

Let people log the hours they worked, by day and project, and see your team's week. A record for your reference, not a timesheet for pay.

The hours log is a simple record of who worked how long, and on what. People log their own hours a week at a time; managers see their team's.

Turn it on

The hours log is off until an Administrator turns it on.

  1. Go to Team → Settings → Hours.
  2. Tick Turn on the hours log.
  3. Type your Projects (optional, one per line), for example your current jobs. People choose one when they log hours. Leave it empty to skip projects.
  4. Click Save Changes.
Settings → Hours

Turning it off later hides it and keeps the hours already logged.

Log your hours

  1. Go to Team → Me → My hours (or Hours on the website Me page).
  2. Choose the Date (1).
  3. Type the Hours (2): 7.5 or 7:30 both mean seven and a half hours. From 0.25 to 24.
  4. Choose the Project (3) and add a Note if you like.
  5. Click Add.
Logging hours

The week is listed on the right, with the total at the top. Move between weeks with ‹ and ›. Click Change or Delete to fix an entry. A day can't add up to more than 24 hours.

See your team's hours

Go to Team → More → Hours (managers see their own team; Team managers see everyone).

The team's week
  • The week grid shows each person's hours per day, with totals, for people who logged hours that week.
  • Click Show everyone (…) (1) to list everyone, for example to add hours for someone who forgot. Team managers can add or change entries for anyone; those entries show "Entered by" with their name.
  • Download Excel or CSV (2) for the week.

Hours reports

Team → Reports → Hours totals hours by person and month, or by project, for any month. See Team reports.
